Emergency Assistance
Families who have an emergency can apply for help with a utility bill, heating fuel, rent or mortgage assistance. We also accept requests for help with one time prescription needs, and other unmet needs.
We meet these needs through the Emergency Food and Shelter Program, and through the collaboration of Southport-Oak Island Interchurch Fellowship, South Brunswick Interchurch Council, both Catholic Churches in Brunswick County, and other area churches.
Payments are made directly to providers of services and are limited to one time a year or one time every other year, depending on the funding source.
