Homeless Family Services
Brunswick Family Assistance Agency is the first agency in Brunswick County to specifically address the needs of the homeless population. There are many people in Brunswick County without permanent, safe housing. The state of homelessness in Brunswick County is very different than the homeless state in urban cities. In rural communities, homelessness is due to the lack of affordable housing and poverty. It is more likely in a rural community that homelessness effect families, those who work and women. These individuals and families are not seen on the street corner or sleeping on the park bench, they are, however, sleeping in their cars, on the beach and camping in the woods.
