Brunswick Family Assistance Agency closed the  
Christmas in July, (book bag)
 applications on July 25, 2014 

This year BFA will assist 426 local students start the new school year with a new book bag, set of clothing or uniform, a pair of new shoes and all the basic school supplies they require.  This is the highest number of students BFA has assisted in the history of the program. Thank you to Janye Barruch, Joyce Scotto, Chris Beadsell, Deb Dubuc, Pat Grandinetti, Debbie Scott and Alberta Shellem for all of their help in processing the applications for this program at our Leland site and on walk in days in the Shallotte office.
Special thanks goes to Andrea Weibl and Sue Brandon for their continued support on walk in days. 

BFA is seeking interested individuals, Civic Groups, and Faith Based organizations to adopt the students tag. 
A tag represents a student in the Brunswick County School System in grades K-8. 
Individuals adopting a tag are requested to provide the following: 

Book Bag, large enough to hold a file folder
A set of clothing or uniforms
A pair of shoes
Basic School supplies. list provided at the time the tag is given out.

Monetary and school supply donations are gratefully accepted.
