Christmas Baskets
From mid-October to mid-November each year we take applications for our Christmas Program. Applicants must prove their income and expenses and have household income within 100% of the Federal Poverty level.
Trees of Hope are set up in locations throughout the County with tags bearing information about a child under age 18 or senior age 60 or over and three “wishes” for Christmas gifts. People take a tag, purchase a gift and return it to the tree, or can “adopt” an entire family and purchase gifts for everyone in the family.
Each family also receives a food basket with everything they need to prepare a traditional Christmas dinner.
This program is funded entirely by local donations.
